United for Efficiency works with governments around the world to strengthen national policies and regulatory frameworks that promote energy-efficient products.

Through technical assistance and policy support, U4E helps countries develop and implement measures such as Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS), energy labelling and effective compliance systems. These actions support market transformation toward efficient technologies while helping reduce electricity demand, lower energy costs and mitigate greenhouse gas emissions.

U4E’s country-level work is tailored to national priorities and implemented in close collaboration with government institutions, standards bodies and other national stakeholders.
