Our Work Areas

Appliances, equipment, and electricity networks account for a growing share of global energy demand. Improving their performance is one of the most effective ways to reduce costs, strengthen energy systems, and cut emissions. U4E focuses on key areas where efficiency improvements can deliver the greatest benefits.

About United for Efficiency

U4E is a global initiative dedicated to accelerating the transition to energy-efficient and climate-friendly appliances, equipment and systems. U4E provides independent, tailored technical assistance to countries to support the adoption of efficient solutions across several sectors, including lighting, refrigeration and holistic cold chains, space conditioning, electric motor systems, distribution power transformers, data centers and other key technologies. Our market-transformation efforts aim to reduce indirect GHG emissions through energy savings, reduce direct emissions by phasing down high-GWP refrigerants, attain financial savings due to electricity costs savings and improve air quality through reduced pollutants.
