Maputo, Mozambique, 25 August 2014 – Officials from the South African Development Community and the Southern African Power Pool have agreed to support a regional strategy to transition to energy-efficient lighting by 2020. The shift could save the region an estimated US$ 570 million and reduce CO2 emissions by 9 million tonnes annually.
