United for Efficiency supports Indonesia’s policymakers and regulators to advance policies, strategies and actions for the phase-out of inefficient lighting. Emphasis is on an integrated policy approach so that a transition can be sustained by the domestic market without continued external support or resources.

ADVANCING INDONESIA’S LIGHTING MARKET TO HIGH EFFICIENT TECHNOLOGIES (ADLIGHT)
This three-year (2020-2023), GEF-funded project aims to reduce electricity demand and related greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by promoting increased use of high efficiency lighting technologies through the transformation of the national market.
Main Components
- Promoting the transition of existing lighting market to energy efficient lighting technologies
- Enhancing local manufacturing capabilities to produce advanced lighting products in line with MEPS
- Introducing regulatory reforms, capacity building and stringent monitoring, verification and enforcement to enable rigorous uptake of energy efficient lighting products
