This document provides a summary of the potential benefits that could be attained from the implementation of minimum energy performance standards for lighting, appliances and equipment at a regional level for the Southern African Development Community. The impacts are assessed at minimum and high ambition levels as detailed in the U4E Model Regulation Guidelines. Total annual savings are presented for the region as a whole, along with a breakdown of benefits by country and product.
