These Model Regulation Guidelines for Energy-Efficient and Climate-Friendly Commercial Refrigeration Equipment complement U4E’s Model Regulation Guidelines for Refrigerating Appliances. They provide guidance for assisting developing and emerging economy governments that are considering a voluntary, regulatory or legislative framework requiring new refrigeration equipment to be energy efficient and to use refrigerants that have lower global warming potential compared with typical legacy refrigerants. They cover the types of refrigeration equipment commonly used in commercial applications. An accompanying Supporting Information document describes the underlying rationale and methodology.
